About H.L.
My name is H.L. Ray. I was born in Mississippi, grew up in Alabama, and have lived, worked, & studied all over the globe, now calling New York City my home.
I support purpose-driven leaders, teams, and organizations at the intersection of leadership coaching and business strategy to help them in their transformation into their next chapter of growth.
I have 17+ years of broad global experience building businesses, brands, and teams as an entrepreneur and intrapreneur with companies ranging from some of the most innovative venture-backed companies (i.e. Gilt Groupe) to Fortune 20 brands (i.e. Samsung).
I am an impact investor with Gaingels, where I use my global education and personal passion for social justice by focusing on investing and advising companies with LGBTQ leaders and founders. As an equality activist, I serve on the board of Making Gay History and am an advisor (former board) of Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative.
My methodology for leaders and innovators is a customized, evidence-based approach to help them step into their authentic alignment, resulting in a shift of decision making from a place of stress, exhaustion, and tension to that of clarity, calm, and confidence.
